I knew from the first time that I met with Joan that the value that she places on authentic relationships, family values, and having a joy-filled perspective on life was unparalleled. Those values carried through each of our interactions, and were pouring from the seams on the day that she and Austin said I do. From the sweet and emotion-filled vows, to the beautifully put-together blooms, and the personal touches that fit the couples’ personalities perfectly, every moment of the day seemed to sing about Joan and Austin’s love!

My favorite parts of the day were the moments between Joan and Austin when they didn’t think anyone was looking. The love and respect in their eyes was truly awe-inspiring, and was matched only by the network of friends and family, who’s love and support flowed freely throughout the celebration.

I’m filled with gratitude when I have couples like Joan and Austin, who bring such joy and fulfillment to my work! I’m so thankful for the time that I had with them and for the privilege it was to capture their beautiful Chesapeake Bay wedding!

A Letter From the Bride
“I decided to contact McCoy Artwork & Photography after seeing engagement photos done for an old friend. I was in awe of how beautiful the photos were and the love that was instantly conveyed through them. After viewing more of her work, I knew I had to set up a meeting.

When first meeting with Amanda, I never felt a level of comfort like that with any other professional. Her warmth radiated, and her professionalism made a great debut. After attending the initial meeting with Amanda, we knew that she was ‘the one’ for our wedding right away. It was just like talking to someone I had known for long time.

On the professional side, there are not enough positive things that could be said about Amanda. She was there for me to answer questions about my wedding that are outside of your average photographer’s duty- just one of the things that exemplifies her genuine care for you and your day.

Every time we show our wedding photos to someone, they are guaranteed to comment that they cannot even remember seeing either of the photographers throughout the day; our wedding party raves about how cool it was working with Amanda, and we have received more than one comment that it seemed like Amanda was part of the wedding too. Amanda adjusted to our changes on the fly, whether it be taking something away or adding something different, and captured every shot we wanted in addition to many we did not even know we wanted, but turned out to be favorites!

And of course, the end product! Our photos could not be any more beautiful. Amanda contacted us one week from our wedding to set up a time at our convenience to view our photos. It was an incredible experience to be able to actually feel the emotions Amanda captured on our day.

In summation, working with Amanda of McCoy Artwork & Photography was as if we had designed a photographer to fit us and our wedding. I can assure you that the hundreds of photos we now have are all of the same highest quality that can be seen in Amanda’s portfolio- there is no portfolio work versus real life work differential, because it is all just simply the best. All around, working with Amanda was the best part of our wedding logistics, and we will positively cherish our time spent with her.”
